US59 Highway/Iowa Street Lawrence, Kansas
Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) is one of the newest survey technologies in the field. Because of the manner in which the technology gathers data, using both a scanner and digital photography, it captures a more complete and comprehensive representation of the needed data. The scanner allows for multiple outputs of data such as feature extraction, data attribution, data manipulation, and base data to be used in design. Bartlett & West engaged the use of our terrestrial scanner on this roadway project in Lawrence, Kansas. Pictured at the left shows the superimposed "point cloud" data points over the actual photo of the surveyed location.
