Natural Gas and Electrical Utility Distribution & Extensions Camp Forsyth, Fort Riley, Kansas
Bartlett & West assisted a private military housing developer with the design of the natural gas and electrical utility distribution systems to serve 600 living units and roadway lighting on the Fort Riley installation. The project included evaluation and upgrade of the high pressure gas border station capacity, new pressure reducing station, medium pressure gas distribution system and service meters to living units.

New Simulated Hospital & Nursing School Neosho County Community College Ottawa Campus, Ottawa, Kansas
Bartlett & West is providing several disciplines of service to this project in Ottawa. The M/E/P services entail the design and installation of new heating and air systems and the building and parking lot lighting. The school is comprised numerous types of rooms including classrooms, administrative offices, laboratories as well as a simulated hospital - all requiring exacting, sometime unique engineering approaches.

HVAC Replacement Unloading Facility - Jeffery Energy Center for Westar Energy
The replacement of the HVAC system and ductwork required the removal and replacement of the ceiling systems and lighting fixtures at this St. Mary's facility. Bartlett & West coordinated of all of the work during construction process to sustain operations in the building. Since completion of the project, the interior of the air handling unit, duct interior and other components have been monitored to verify the effectiveness of the new system. The new HVAC system with the high efficiency filtration system has eliminated all coal dust previously induced into the building through the air handling unit system

Truesdell Hall, Building 225 Remodel Fort Leavenworth, Kansas
Fort Leavenworth's Truesdell Hall (Building 225) was constructed in 1957 as a dormitory to serve as the bachelor officers' quarters. Bartlett & West is assisting the Army in the renovation and remodeling of the 1st and 2nd floors. The project includes all new chilled and hot water piping distribution systems as well as new lighting, and ceiling and electrical power modifications required to accommodate the HVAC system improvements.

Westar Energy Topeka, Kansas
Maintaining efficient and sound buildings and plants for this Kansas energy enterprise is of utmost importance. Bartlett & West has been Westar’s on-call consultant for their mechanical, electrical, plumbing and structural engineering needs since 2005 for both the Facilities and Generation and Marketing Group divisions of the company. Projects have included ventilation and air conditioning systems for electronic equipment rooms, office remodels, lighting, power and emergency generator systems for operations centers. Bartlett & West has also assisted Westar with their analyses, administration oversight, remediation options and condition assessment of existing operation facilities.

Hill’s Pet Nutrition Topeka, Kansas
The Hill’s Pet Nutrition facility is a complex set of structural, mechanical and electrical systems. In order to best serve our client, Bartlett & West housed a full-time employee at Hill’s who was dedicated to this on-call contract. Projects have varied greatly in size and are generally related to facility maintenance or upgrades. Projects have included platform and ladder additions, equipment supports, foundation design, existing structure evaluations, mechanical and electrical system upgrades, structural additions and remodeling.
