Blue Cross Major Medical: Major Medical plan that covers a variety of medical expenses, some being subject to a deductible and co-insurance.
Mail order prescription drug program: For outpatient drugs used on an ongoing basis.
Dental plan: Preventive care paid at 100% (with no deductible). Other dental expenses may be subject to a deductible and co-insurance.
Flexible Spending Accounts: Both medical and dependent care FSA’s are offered to employees.
Vision Plan: Voluntary coverage for eye exams, eyewear and other vision services.
Life Insurance: Both co-paid and voluntary supplemental insurance available for employee, spouse and dependents.
Disability: Both short-term and long-term diability benefits are available to employees.
ESOP
The Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) is an opportunity the employee has to participate in the ownership of Bartlett & West. Contributions may be made by the company annually (discretionary—based on financial performance.) Vesting in this plan is over a six-year period.
401K
Employees may defer up to $16,500 of their compensation in 2011 into this plan. The company contributes a percentage matching contribution up to a 6% deferral which is immediately 100% vested. The plan is self-directed offering a wide range of mutual funds from which participants may choose. Employees may elect to have a third-party money management firm manage their portfolio.
Bonus
Bartlett & West has a merit bonus program for which all employees are eligible depending on the firm’s profitability and their individual performance.
Vacation
• 1st thru 5th year - 10 days
• 6th thru 15th year - 15 days
• 16th and beyond - 20 days
• Prorated entitlement for partial year worked.
Holidays / Sick Leave
Eight (8) paid holidays per year. Six (6) sick leave days per year.
Continuing Education
After six months, financial aid is available for courses of instruction related to employment at Bartlett & West, upon approval. The employee is expected to pay for the instruction, fees and materials and a certain percentage will be reimbursed to the employee after successful completion of the course.
In addition, our firm created Bartlett & West University to foster a culture of learning among our employees. Effective training helps develop our people, sharpening their skills to meet today’s business challenges. Besides classes taught by both company experts and outside training consultants, Bartlett & West University also offers self-paced tutorials online at the Bartlett & West University Website for continuing education credit.
Overtime
Non-exempt employees are eligible for overtime, at the rate of 1.5 times their base hourly rate, for all hours worked over 40 in a week. Some exempt employees are eligible for additional compensation for hours worked over 40 in a week.
