  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES OF POSITION:  (All duties as directed to include, but not limited to the following): 

    1. Perform general and advanced construction and field observation on rural regional water systems, drainage projects, storage tanks, pump stations, water treatment plants, and land development projects in North & South Dakota.
    2. Ability to be out in the field and administer the construction phase of the project. 
    3. Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
    4. Conduct materials testing according to prescribed procedures.
    5. Perform field quality assurance operations for construction projects.
    6. Complete detailed construction reports.

    EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.

     

    SKILLS/TRAINING/QUALIFICATIONS:  

    • 0-3 years related field experience
    • Good math and communication (verbal and written) skills
    • General knowledge of construction practices
    • Ability to interpret construction plans and specifications
    • Field observation on tank projects and knowledge of materials testing methods are a plus
    • AutoCAD experience is a plus
    • Travel required with overnight stays possible.
