  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES OF POSITION:  (All duties as directed to include, but not limited to the following)

    1. Under the supervision of an engineer, performs routine drafting assignments for transportation (highway and railroad), land development projects, and rural and regional water distribution, by transferring information from engineers drawing to final drawing applying appropriate symbols and drafting standards to complete a finished quality product.
    2. Work will include plan development/drafting/layout for transportation systems, site plans, streets, curb & gutter, pump stations, water storage, and associated work. 
    3. Works with engineer or higher-level technician on full plan development.  May prepare drawings from rough sketches or interpretation of field notes.

     EDUCATION:  2-year degree from technical school or college preferred.

     

    SKILLS/TRAINING/QUALIFICATIONS:  3 - 5 years experience required.  Must be proficient in MicroStation.  Experience with Geopak is preferred.  Good organizational and communication skills necessary.  The ability to work independently required.
