Seeking a full time GIS Engineering Technician for our headquarters office in Topeka. Responsibilities include:  perform basic mapping functions, drafting, technical work, and interpretation of land transaction documents (deeds and contracts) under the supervision of a Team Leader; capable of efficient operation of automated drafting equipment with working knowledge of Microstation/AutoCAD; must also be able to manage, maintain and operate field collection data equipment such as GPS and Trimble systems. Project Engineer – Public Works
Seeking a Project Engineer for our Public Works division in Topeka, Kansas. This division provides public works engineering services to municipalities and counties including the city of Topeka and surrounding areas. Projects typically involve work on wastewater collection and treatment facilities with groundwater contamination issues, piping systems or pumping facilities. Seeking a Project or Sr. Project Engineer to plan and design engineering work for MEP systems. Senior or Lead Engineering Technician – Topeka, KS

Seeking a full time Sr. or Lead Engineering Technician who will work under general supervision of an engineer to perform complex drafting assignments for architectural engineering projects. The person selected will transfer information from engineers’ drawings to final drawings applying appropriate symbols and drafting standards to complete a finished quality product. Work will involve comprehensive planning for mechanical/electrical/plumbing and structural projects to include plan development/drafting/layout on commercial, industrial, institutional, educational buildings and water/wastewater facilities. We are
seeking a self-directed person to perform field construction observation work on water lines, pump stations, sanitary sewers, streets, storm sewers, water and wastewater treatment plants, railway fueling facilities, bridges and urban/arterial transportation projects. Survey Crew Chief - Topeka
This position will be responsible for topographic and boundary surveying, boundary analysis, legal descriptions, and coordinate geometry calculations and construction staking. Will work closely with Survey Manager and may also provide supervision of 1-2 survey crews, assist with fee estimates, and stamp final drawings. High School Diploma, civil tech classes preferable, and Kansas or Missouri license required. DOT experience preferred. Minimum of three years experience running crews. Responsibilities of this position are broken into two important categories as follows:

 Project Management

  • Managing all survey projects including the management and scheduling of all survey crews.

  • Developing project scope, task organization, estimates of required resources, and schedules to complete projects.

  • Creating estimates of cost and budget for projects.

  • Developing and negotiating agreements for surveying services.

  • Managing the monthly project accounting process, including review of time and expense charges to projects and invoicing.
