Insurance

Blue Cross Major Medical:  Major Medical plan has a $5,000,000 lifetime maximum. The plan pays 80% of covered expenses after the deductible is satisfied. There is a $500 individual / $1,000 family deductible with a co-insurance maximum of $1,000 individual / $2,000 family.
 

Mail order prescription drug program: For outpatient drugs used on an on-going basis.  Up to a 90-day supply can he obtained through this program after a $90 co-pay.
 

Dental plan: Preventive care paid at 100% (with no deductible).  After the plan’s deductible is met ($50 per person per year or $100 for the family), primary services (filings and simple extractions) are reimbursed 80% and major services (crowns, dentures, bridges) are reimbursed 50%.  The plan has a yearly $1,500 maximum.
 

Flexible Spending Accounts: Both medical and dependent care FSA’s are offered to employees.


Life Insurance:
Two times the employee’s annual salary ($100,000 maximum).
 

Disability: With qualifying disability, two thirds of the employee’s monthly salary will be paid after a 90 day waiting period.

ESOP

The Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) is a company funded retirement plan.  Contributions may be made annually (discretionary - based on financial performance) by the Company in cash and/or Company stock, based on the employee’s W-2 compensation.  Vesting in this plan is over a seven-year period. Forfeitures of non-vested accounts are reallocated to employee accounts. 

401K

Employees may defer up to $15,500 of their compensation in 2007 into this plan.  The Company contributes a 25 percent matching contribution up to a six percent deferral which is immediately 100 percent vested. The plan is self-directed offering a wide range of mutual funds from which participants may choose. Employees may elect to have a third-party money management firm manage their portfolio.

Bonus

Bartlett & West has a merit bonus program for which all employees are eligible depending on the firm’s profitability and their individual performance. 

Vacation

  • 1st thru 5th year   -   10 days

  • 6th thru 15th year  -  15 days

  • 16th and beyond   -   20 days

  • Prorated entitlement for partial year worked.

Sick Leave

Six (6) days per year.  Prorated entitlement for partial year worked.  Accrual maximum: 70 days.

Holidays

Seven (7) paid holidays per year.

Continuing Education

After six months, financial aid is available for courses of instruction related to employment at Bartlett & West, upon approval.  The employee is expected to pay for the instruction, fees and materials and will be reimbursed 75 percent (tuition reimbursement) upon successful completion of the course (C or better) to a maximum of $3,000 per year.

Overtime

Non-exempt employees are eligible for overtime, at the rate of 1.5 times their base hourly rate, for all hours worked over 40 in a week.  Some exempt employees are eligible for additional compensation at their straight hourly rate for hours worked over 40 in a week.
